Google Workspace Domain Verification Problems

The Admin Console shows your domain as unverified, or the verification step keeps failing even after adding the record Google gave you.

• Verification TXT or CNAME record added to the wrong DNS zone
• Typo in the verification record value
• DNS changes not yet propagated
• Using a verification method that does not match how your DNS is actually managed

We confirm which verification method you are using, check the exact record Google expects against what is actually published in your DNS, and rule out propagation delay.

1. Re-copy the exact verification record from the Admin Console — do not retype it by hand.
2. Confirm you added it to the DNS zone for the domain you are trying to verify, not a subdomain.
3. Use a DNS lookup tool to confirm the record is actually publicly visible.
4. Click "Verify" again in the Admin Console after confirming the record is live.

If the record is confirmed live and correct but verification still fails, or you are not sure which DNS zone actually controls your domain, get help before making further changes.
